Who We Are

Mission: To serve the community with enriching and inspirational performing arts.

BDACT is a non-profit 55-year-old-community theater serving thousands of audience and participants of all ages in the larger Beaver Dam area and beyond.  Its new fully accessible BDACT Fine Arts Center, located in downtown Beaver Dam, WI, houses a state-of-the-art 320-seat Kamps auditorium, plus its flexible Encore Hall for a more intimate show setting and multiple community uses. The three-story fully accessible center also provides space for BDACT educational programming, rehearsals, and meetings.

In support of a minimal staff of a Managing Director and a Volunteer/ Production Coordinator, BDACT is greatly dependent upon volunteers for operation. From technical production to general painting, painting, to office work, jobs for every skill —  clerical work, ushering, concessions, cleaning, painting, carpentry and more are needed. Training is available.

What We Do

Beaver Dam Area Community Theatre provides on-stage and behind-the-scenes opportunities for people of all ages. This well-established non-profit organization offers a full season of theater shows, events, and programs, including comedy acts, dramas, comedies, musicals, one-acts, cabarets, its Tell-A-Tale Children’s Theatre shows, a youth choir, and more.

BDACT enjoys a long-time reputation as a source for quality entertainment, education,  and opportunities for the development and showcasing of many talents and skills. Emphasis is on “community,” encouraging positive social interaction among people from all walks of life. Attracting audience and active participation from Dodge County as well as southeastern Wisconsin, the theater’s emphasis is equally applied to “area” in its name.
