Who We Are

Mission: To provide service to those in need, to advocate for justice and to call upon others to do the same.

Since 1920, Catholic Charities has responded to a call to serve the needs of people affected by poverty and to provide professional social services with dignity and respect for those we serve. People will always need support during difficult times, through many wars, movements, and even a global pandemic, we have seen the need for our services and programs. Catholic Charities has and will remain open to provide essential human services in the safest, most effective ways and respond to the needs of people who need us most.

Catholic Charities’ mission has been the core of our work since 1920. Building upon this, we measurably improve the lives of those we serve and empower them to reach their full potential.  When we accomplish this, lives are transformed and the benefits to the community can be exponential starting by improving the quality of life one person at a time. In 2023, our work positively impacted the lives of 53,123 people in southeastern Wisconsin.

What We Do

Catholic Charities Archdiocese of Milwaukee offers a variety of services, including behavioral health counseling, refugee and immigration services, legal services for immigrants, case management, outreach programs for individuals facing homelessness, and pregnancy and parenting support. Additionally, we offer services for seniors and adults with disabilities, such as adult day care, caregiver support, and assistance in navigating public benefits and healthcare systems. Through these services, we aim to provide comprehensive support that helps individuals and families overcome challenges and lead fulfilling lives.
