Our shelter volunteers help fill gaps in scheduling when the shelter managers need time off for a few hours or a day. Responsibilities include keeping an eye on the shelter clients in case they need assistance and reminders of rules, minor cleaning, and just being a go to person for questions from clients. A background check is required of all clients, staff, and volunteers entering the shelter for the safety of everyone. We are currently looking to build onto our list of possible people to fill in an hour or two and a few people that can potentially fill in for a weekend day or night every few months. A manager is always on call for back up if needed.
